The successful RF Broadcast Engineer will be required to perform the routine maintenance and repairs of broadcast equipment and transmission systems both electronic and mechanical. You should be able to provide technical support to both Production and MCR colleagues. The ability to perform detailed fault and incident analysis and reporting, to produce technical solutions and to offer proposals to new and existing systems, produce appropriate documentation and diagrams and plan and execute projects in a time efficient manner. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of satellite and telecommunications systems, mpeg2 encoders, modems, RF amplifiers, irds, and antenna control systems. You should have experience of test & measurement (spectrum and TS analysers) and have a knowledge of broadcast signals - SDI, analog, and talkback. You will also require a solid understanding of networking, ISDN, broadband, data & voice communication and knowledge of modulation, compression and transmission techniques.
